Now I’ve configure my pc like very user, but I’m a developer, so I need other program to work.
(configuration in the previus post: https://andrearegoli.wordpress.com/2012/08/28/windows-8-configure-accounts)
First of all, SQL Express 2012, during the installation I receive a error of missing “.NET Framework 3.5”
so I try to install It using “add feature” present in control panels of Windows… But I receive always error.
Installing the .NET Framework 3.5 on Windows 8
I found the solution in the MSDN
the solution is install the package by the installation CD using this command
Dism /online /enable-feature /featurename:NetFx3 /All /Source:x:\sources\sxs /LimitAccess
where x: is the drive letter for the Windows 8 ISO image or DVD.
Ok the framework is now installed, so I continue the installation of SQL Express 2012 and It run good.
After that I’ve installed Web Platform and I use that to install IIS
If you are a Windows phone developer you need to install Visual studio 2010, so pay attention to the next step!
- Install VS 2010
- Download and install this: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/LIVE/PC/DownloadClient
- Now Install the Windows phone 7.1 SDK https://dev.windowsphone.com/en-us/downloadsdk, if you don’t do the previus step the installation of XNA will fail
- Download and Install Windows Phone SDK 7.1.1 Update https://dev.windowsphone.com/en-us/downloadsdk
Here a great post that save me and other developers:
After all I’ve installed VS 2012 without any conflict problem with VS 2010
Hope these series will be usefull.
